At the University of Dayton, students have ample opportunity to work alongside faculty conducting world-class research. The brand-new Science Center is not only a great atmosphere for studying, but is the centerpiece of a complex that houses state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, multimedia and data port-ready classrooms, a microbiology/genetics laboratory, an anatomy and physiology laboratory, three-story atrium and common area, and a shared instrumentation facility. Collaboration with the Nanoscale Engineering, Science & Technology (NEST) Laboratory provides additional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in bionanotechnology. Investigating the fate of nanoparticles in cells and designing nanoparticles for medical and physiological applications are just a few exciting new aspects of this new science.
