The Department of English offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. These programs prepare graduates to be literate, perceptive, and competent readers and writers who are informed about their literary heritage and who are responsive to our culture and its needs. Our graduates have been highly successful in pursuing advanced degrees and careers in a wide range of fields, including teaching, administration, law, and corporate communications. Our Master of Arts program includes a new “teaching track,” offered in conjunction with the School of Education and Allied Professions, designed to integrate graduate work in literature and writing with advanced teaching methods. Our undergraduate and graduate students also have many opportunities for study abroad, service-learning, independent research, and creative writing.
If you would like additional information or have any questions, I would be happy to speak with you in person. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
