All members of the University of Dayton community can take advantage of the services provided by The Write Place, a part of the Ryan C. Harris Learning-Teaching Center. The Write Place exists to enhance writing competency across the curriculum for all students, faculty, and staff from every academic discipline. The goal of The Write Place is to create a comfortable, collaborative environment in which learning can flourish.

Staffed by an exceptionally talented pool of undergraduate tutors from a variety of disciplines, The Write Place can assist with a wide range of writing challenges: a first-year student's English 101 paper, an international student's struggle with English idioms, an upper-level student's research paper, a senior student's application to graduate school, a faculty member's efforts to improve writing instruction in the classroom, and a staff member's query about a grammar concern.
