Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a technical area such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics, or economics, and have at least a 2.8 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Individuals not having these qualifications may be admitted on a conditional basis. Prerequisites include post-calculus courses in ordinary differential equations and linear algebra, introductory statistics, and programming skills. Students interested in a four course concentration outside of mathematics must have appropriate undergraduate prerequisites. Applicants interested in the Master of Mathematics Education Program should follow the admission requirements specific to that program.
