Our summers only Masters Degree Program in Music Education began in 2002 and now has more than twenty graduates, with approximately forty students enrolled. The degree is offered through the School of Education as a Master of Science in Education degree with a Music Education concentration, and is in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences.
The design of the program allows students to complete the degree in three summers. The music curriculum focuses on practical applications to the music classroom and rehearsal room. This program is "teacher friendly" with required courses offered primarily during the summer.
For more information, please contact Linda Hartley, Ph.D., director of the Graduate Program in Music Education.
