- The history of Christianity, the U.S. religious experience, U.S. Catholicism and African-American religion
- Ethics
- A wide choice of study in doctrine, including marriage, prayer, theology of Mary, Atheism, the sacraments and liberation theology
- World religions, including study of Hinduism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam
- Religion and culture, covering topics such as the relationship between religion and film, literature, the arts, science and social sciences
- Philosophy of religious education or theory and practice of religious education
