Welcome!

Computer TechnologyWhat is technology-enhanced learning and living? At the University of Dayton, it's a way of life, guided by the vision of the Learning Village.   The Learning Village explores how the tools of the information age can enrich the learning and living experiences of our students, faculty and staff.

“This constant immersion in a working, breathing community has greatly improved my personal skills.  It has taught me the importance of human relationships and even more, has given me a clearer picture of myself in what many consider to be four of the most influential years of life.”  John Popelar ‘04

A primary function of the Learning Village is to support an on-demand and around-the-clock learning environment that is rich in resources and accessible in the places that we gather, live and work.  Manifestations of the Learning Village are everywhere at UD.  Incoming, first-year students are united with the UD community months before they arrive on campus through Virtual Orientation.  The computer initiative ensures that students have the tools they need to take advantage of the technological innovations available.  A number of wireless points allow for ready access to the Internet.  Upper-class students enjoy a wired student neighborhood.  The UD community is connected.

At the University of Dayton, we integrate cutting-edge information and communications technologies within and beyond the classroom and throughout our campus environment in an effort not only to extend and enhance learning, but also to facilitate career readiness for our students and to extend and strengthen collaboration across campus and beyond.

The technology-enhanced initiative is a project that will ensure you receive the best residential campus learning experience possible...
