Recent Initiatives

The College recently completed a major construction project for the sciences. In Phase II of this project, Sherman and Wohlleben Halls were connected and renovated with new collaborative and laboratory space. Learn More > 

The Humanities Fellows Program has added a new group of Fellows this year. This program is sponsored by a challenge grant for the National Endowment for the Humanities and is designed to encourage faculty to cross disciplinary boundaries to collaborate on projects that promote connected learning and scholarship. ArtStreet opened in Fall 2004. This building is a unique learning and living arts complex located in the heart of the South Student Neighborhood. Providing housing for 58 juniors and seniors of all majors, ArtStreet combines innovative living spaces with multi-purpose studio facilities. ArtStreet is a part of the Learning Village, a university initiative to integrate academic and experiential learning with residential and community living.  Learn More >

A recent donation has been designated for a future performing and visual arts building. This building project is currently in the planning stages.

Marianist Hall was completed in 2004 and houses the bookstore, a food emporium, post office service center and credit union. Space also includes a chapel, first- and second-year student residences and an integrated learning space where faculty and students come together to collaborate on innovative curricula.
