Getting involved with activities, programs and events sponsored by the Department of Communication will allow you to apply the knowledge you learn in the classroom, give you the chance to interact with faculty members and other students in your major, build your resume for future endeavors, and overall, enhance your learning experience. - Summer study abroad programs to Europe, held in locations such as London and Rome.
- Apply what you learn in the classroom to an actual working environment. Learn more about internships.
- Access to state-of-the-art audio, video and multimedia facilities and writing and design labs featuring the latest technology.
- The chance to participate in a number of organizations related to communication, such as the Advertising Club, The Daytonian yearbook, The Flyer News (a twice weekly student newspaper), Flyer Radio (AM/FM), the National Broadcasting Society, Orpheus (a literary and artistic magazine), the Speech and Debate Team, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
- The opportunity to join the communication honor fraternity, Phi Beta Chi.
