NHB Camp

The University of Dayton's New Horizon Summer Camp, has been an integral part of the campus in Dayton, Ohio, since the summer of 2001.

As the birthplace of powered flight, Dayton, Ohio, is a great city to visit. In addition, one may contribute to history-in-the-making by playing an instrument in the summer band institute for mature adults. Notable places to visit after rehearsal activity are: Carillon Park, the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, the National Parachute Museum, the National Aviation Hall of Fame and various sites of the Aviation Trail, a national park which celebrates the Wright Brothers' achievements. One of its most notable sites is the Wright Brothers' original shop.

Past summer band camps have featured visits by the brass ensemble of the Air Force National Band of Flight. Each year of the New Horizons Band Camp features a final concert performance with guest artists.
