Welcome!

Your future is exciting, changing, and in and out of focus.  How can you prepare?

As an undeclared arts or science student, you are in a strong position to answer this question.  Even before you arrive on campus, you will be able to begin to make well-informed decisions using an electronic orientation process called Virtual Orientation.  From the first day on campus, you will work with skilled academic advisors.  You will start to use the electronic Portfolio to record your accomplishments and preserve your best work.  In the classroom, you will develop the crucial competencies to write clearly and persuasively, work effectively in small groups, and be comfortable speaking to groups and in interviews.  In the Humanities Base you will think critically about fundamental questions and discover the connections across disciplines.  Strong academic majors will extend these skills.  Activities and student organizations will foster your sense of service.

When you graduate, you will find that a UD education is special because as you have grown and learned, you have developed skills for a rewarding professional life as well as the knowledge and values that let you confidently shape and focus your future.

The general education program will help you discover how to connect and integrate all of the courses from your undergraduate career. Learn More >
