The Graul Chair in Arts and Languages was established in 2000 to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the arts and languages with a particular focus on international perspectives. Through its programs, the chair supports connections between visual arts, music, theater, and languages. All programs emphasize the importance of educating students to think, live, and work in an international context. The first Graul Chair was Roger Crum, Ph.D., of the Department of Visual Arts.
