Getting involved with activities, programs and events sponsored by the Department of Languages will allow you to apply the knowledge you learn in the classroom, give you the chance to interact with faculty members and other students in your major, build your resume for future endeavors, and overall, enhance your learning experience.  Take advantage of what the Department of Languages has to offer:

• A teaching licensure option in French, German and Spanish through the School of Education and Allied Professions.
• Access to the high-tech Language Learning Center (LLC), where students can listen to audio tapes and international radio broadcasts, watch videos and international television, read current publications from various countries, practice their language skills on PC and Macintosh computers, communicate with other countries through the Internet and e-mail, and sharpen their listening and reading skills on interactive computer/video-disk machines.
• One-month summer programs in Canada, France, Germany, Chile and Spain.
• Limited class size, only offering 23 spots in elementary and intermediate courses and 15 spots in upperlevel courses.
